Recently, rival club Cruz Azul’s players, Erik Lira and Andrés Gudiño, are not daunted by the task of stopping Messi.

The midfielder, Erik Lira, shared that players are motivated and confident to face the soccer star. “It is a unique opportunity. It’s a new tournament, we have to fight for it, but the truth is it’s just another game for us. El Tuca tells us that it is someone else; obviously, he’s a bit imposing, but we are going to win,” he added.

Messi’s trophies include 10 La Liga, seven Copa del Rey, four Champions League, three Fifa Club World Cup, three UEFA Super Cup, and eight Supercopa de Espana. Owing to his mind-boggling achievement, Andrés Gudiño, might have the hardest time of his career on July 21.
