Wrexham facing the added pressure of their own success
“Welcome to Wrexham” gives viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the team’s journey, providing an extra layer of insight into the challenges and triumphs they face. The second season of the show has been, following in the footsteps of its successful first season. The episodes thus far have focused on Wrexham’s pursuit of promotion, offering fans a glimpse into the inner workings of the club.
However, one episode in particular shed light on a more difficult aspect of the team’s journey. Amidst the jubilation and excitement, a somber mood prevailed in the locker room. He further added, “You know, the more every team we play puts on their best performance of the season. I imagine lots of people watching this game and probably willing us on to fail”. The executive gave a pretty interesting analogy to explain how the Hollywood backing also adds to all this. “Everybody wants to see Deadpool in the mud,” he added. “They want to see Rob McElhenney disappointed. They want to bloody the nose of the big fancy Hollywood jerkoffs”.
The Wrexham executive concluded, “And, you know, that’s just an extra challenge for us to deal with”. These words paint a stark picture of the pressure and external expectations that the team must confront. As for Ryan Reynolds, who has a net worth of $350 million, he is determined to see the club succeed. In fact, the Hollywood actor has expressed his belief that Wrexham will reach the Premier League in the next four years.
Ryan Reynolds’ bold prediction for the Red Dragons
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have made it clear that they are fully committed to the success of Wrexham.
