This is the beginning of the end of Kylian Mbappe‘s transfer saga. After weeks of silence on his future, Mbappe has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid, after his PSG contract ends this summer. This comes after PSG prepared a mouth-watering deal, valued at more than $100 million per year, to make the 25-year-old stay in Paris. We cannot yet rule out the Frenchman’s chances to make a U-turn and continue in PSG. Nevertheless, Madrid’s superstar forward Vinicius Jr seems already eager to pair up with the 2018 World Champion at the Bernabeu.
Since Kylian Mbappe is traditionally a left-winger, his potential switch could jeopardize Vinicius Jr who plays in the same position at Madrid. However, even that conundrum will probably be resolved, considering how Mbappe has been adapting to a different role lately.

Sneakershopping and Complex Sneakers’ Instagram handles posted pictures of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, saying, “Two Sneaker Shopping legends are linking up at Bernabéu soon.” This post is an obvious reference to Mbappe’s imminent switch to the Spanish capital. The Instagram post also showcased myriad pictures of the two players in action. Besides, the post also had snippets of Mbappe and Vini Jr’s shoe-shopping adventure with Complex Sneaker. Vini Jr was quick to take note of the said Instagram post. He liked the update, not-so-subtly nodding to the Frenchman’s imminent move to the Spanish capital.

Meanwhile, per rumors, Real Madrid might sell Vinicius Jr to make space for Mbappe in the left wing. However, the Madrid-based giants can also do without selling the Brazilian superstar. They could team up Mbappe, Vini, and Jude Bellingham all in one team. Here is how Vini Jr can still thrive at the Bernabeu if Kylian Mbappe inks a deal.

Kylian Mbappe could adapt to a new position at Madrid without jeopardizing Vinicius Jr
Mbappe, a traditional left-winger has adapted to playing as a center-forward in PSG, under Luis Enrique. In his 28 appearances this season, Mbappe played a center-forward in 16 of them. He has scored 18 goals and assisted 6 times from that position. Therefore, the Frenchman could easily adapt to a similar position in Bernabeu, allowing Madrid to retain Vinicius Jr.

Madrid could then go for a two-forward approach with the Frenchman and the Brazilian. If they for three forwards, Jude Bellingham could play at the back, with Mbappe and Vini leading the attack. Anyhow, only time will tell if Carlo Ancelotti will resort to any such tactic. First, Kylian Mbappe has to officially sign a Madrid contract. Then, the Blancos will take the call to retain or offload Vinicius Jr. What are your thoughts on pairing the duo at Madrid? Tell us in the comments.
