Video: Shakira Brutally Trolls Gerard Pique on American TV Show As She Shows Off Her Rolex While Performing Live

It’s been nine months since Shakira and Gerard Pique announced their split. Things are still messy between the once power-couple. This is evident as the ‘Queen of Latin music’ recently trolled the ex-Barcelona star in a live performance. Shakira nowadays is in the States with her kids.

The Colombian singer recently made an appearance on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Shakira along with Bizarrap put on an electrifying performance of her record-breaking Gerard Pique diss track, ‘BZRP Music Session #53’. The performance was definitely a memorable one, but the major highlight was the slight trolling Shakira did during the performance.

Shakira was seen wearing a Rolex during the performance. “You changed a Rolex for a Casio,” is one of the lines in the song in which she takes a clear dig at Pique and his current girlfriend. Clara Chia Marti.

During her performance on the Tonight Show, when that part of the song came on, Shakira approached her audience and sang it while pointing the Rolex on her wrist toward the camera. It was a subtle but savage move by Shakira.

The look on Shakira’s face says it all–she’s over Pique and she’s ready to move on. While this was a cheeky troll from Shakira, however, she didn’t do it first. In context to the Rolex and Cassio dig, Pique was the first one to take a shot.

In response to Shakira’s infamous line, “You changed a Rolex for a Casio,” Pique decided to take a sly dig by announcing a partnership with Casio for his King’s League in January, just days after the release of the track.

In a podcast, he also showed his wrist-wearing Casio, taking a shot at the Latin singer who has been making waves around the world for the diss track. It’s safe to say that the feud between Shakira and Pique is far from over. Both have been throwing shades at each other and no one can say how long will it keep on going.
