PSG star Kylian Mbappe, who everyone expected to be on a vacation, is already back with the club. The Golden Boot winner fell short of his second FIFA World Cup when Argentina beat France in the final. It was a disappointing loss, and the player wasted no time in joining the team training. However, the French star’s old images disguised as Santa Claus have resurfaced.

His teammates and PSG owner, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, accompanied the French star. It was a heartwarming gesture by the PSG foundation towards the refugee children in Paris back in 2019.

Kylian Mbappe surprised the children by distributing gifts 

The Paris-based club owns a PSG Foundation that works for charity. PSG Foundation works for underprivileged children and runs refugee camps, too. In its 22 years, over 200k children have benefitted from the educational and other programs.

In 2019, the foundation decided to surprise 250 children from a refugee camp on Christmas. The children visited the Parc de Princes stadium after a Ligue 1 game, where they met PSG stars and owners. However, Kylian Mbappe made the night unforgettable for those children when he disguised himself as Santa Claus to distribute the gifts. 

We know Mbappe for his charitable activities. He once donated all his earnings from the 2018 World Cup-winning campaign to a charity. He also does the same with his earnings from the international breaks. The French star is back from vacation early to start preparations for the second half with PSG.

Mbappe in training with PSG three days after losing the World Cup final

PSG gave around ten days of vacation to its player after the FIFA World Cup. However, Mbappe made a surprise premature return to training three days after losing the final. The Golden Boot winner wasn’t able to hide his disappointment during the French team’s parade in Paris.

Mbappe is already a World Cup winner in 2018 at 19 and looks eager to win more trophies in his career. He came very close to his second World Cup trophy, only to lose on penalties. His early return to training shows he wants to overcome the disappointment of the World Cup and get back to normal.

Mbappe and PSG are yet to win the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy and have set their sights on it. PSG was able to keep hold of Kylian Mbappe in the summer despite a strong Real Madrid interest. Now with Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar in scintillating form, the club will strive for European glory this season.

However, they will start the knockout phase against German giants Bayern Munich. They will need an inspiring performance from the superstar trio to get past the Munich club. It will be interesting to see how the second half pans out for Kylian Mbappe and whether he wins the UEFA Champions League for the first time.
