Let’s just say Cristiano Ronaldo had to bear with a traumatic night at the beginning of the 2024-25 season with Al Nassr. Al Hilal’s win against Al Nassr is honestly no surprise at this point. Despite meeting six times, Al Nassr didn’t even win once against Al Hilal last season. But Al Hilal’s Saudi Super Cup win tonight comes with a shocking 4-1 margin. We saw Ronaldo’s 40th-minute goal go to waste just like that. And the 39-year-old was quite frustrated to witness that. It wasn’t just on his face and demeanor; he shockingly took it out on his teammates.
Ronaldo went from taunting Al Hilal fans with gestures to doing the same to his teammates in a snap. A video captured from the stands shows the Al Nassr captain, helplessly complaining at his teammates, while also gesturing they all were sleeping. He wonders if it was nap time for his teammates, as Al Hilal scored four goals in 17 minutes in the second half. Continuing his antics, the frustrated Ronaldo gestured that his teammates had given up the fight against Al Hilal.
Besides, he was also seen making yet another confusing hand gesture. Following that, Cristiano Ronaldo made a tail gesture by bringing his right hand to the rear while looking at his teammates. It is unclear what he meant by that. But a tail gesture, that too when Al Nassr is grandly losing, is clearly a derogatory gesture. Perhaps frustrated at Al Nassr’s loss, fans are not buying Ronaldo’s antics this time.
