Following an impressive spell at FC Schalke, Weston McKennie earned his big-budget move to Juventus in 2021. Unfortunately, the midfielder couldn’t replicate his Bundesliga form with the Old Lady. Hence, the management tried their hand in forcing the USMNT star out. As such, they even denied parking space in the club facilities! Now, rumors have emerged of the midfielder turning homewards to the MLS. As per pundits from the United States, it would be ‘great’ to have the deep-lying playmaker back in the country.

On the Morning Footy show, soccer experts were dissecting the rumors of Weston McKennie potentially moving to FC Cincinnati. As per a pundit, the cash involved in these rumors makes it a great choice for the midfielder. He said, “I would never grudge a person that made a move for money.” According to the rumor mill, the Juventus star could earn up to 12 million per year!

However, they do have a concern regarding Weston McKennie’s age. At 25, it’s rare for European soccer stars to move to the MLS. Well, McKennie is an American citizen and would love to play in the MLS.

As such, the pundits believe that it could be slightly early career-wise for the midfielder. But for the USMNT star, money might not be the priority for a move away. Rather, he has been subjected to some pretty harsh treatment by Juventus.

Previously, the 25-year-old had revealed he was denied a locker, hotel room, and parking space. Worst of all, he was forced to change with the academy kids. The reason was his inconsistent performances, which even resulted in a loan to Leeds United. These circumstances would have broken lots of players. But Weston McKennie is not your average soccer star. The player has even laid out a plan to win back the hearts of Juventus supporters.

He said, “I don’t like uncomfortable situations, I don’t like drama. I just try and let my football, my actions, and my work ethic show everything about me because that’s when I feel like I’m at my best.”

Weston McKennie added that he will let his words do the talking on the pitch. Certainly, the star’s performances last season have shown sparks of improvement. In 34 games last season, he made 7 assists for the Bianconeri, more than 3 the previous seasons combined. But is Juventus keen on tying down the midfielder at Turin?
