Renowned Spanish businessman untimely passes away while traveling in hopes of seeing Lionel Messi play

Earlier today, a devastating piece of news broke out from Miami. As per reports, renowned Spanish businessman and media mogul Constancio Vigil passed away on his flight to Miami. The purpose of his visit was to watch Lionel Messi live in action.

As soon as the flight landed in Miami, Vigil’s body was transferred to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. The local authorities, meanwhile, are performing the autopsy and are waiting for the family members to arrive and organize the return.

Vigil was an ardent Messi fan. His relatives also revealed that he was super excited to see the Barcelona legend. “I was in fullness and very happy to see Messi,” his relatives told Crónica. His remains are likely to be returned next Wednesday.

Nevertheless, the popular entrepreneur had a substantial impact in the media industry in his homeland

Vigil was a revolutionary media entrepreneur in the 90s

Vigil also popularly known as a businessman was a pioneer in the Spanish media industry. Constancio’s grandfather founded the legendary Atlántida Publishing House whose execution direction was later assumed by Vigil as his first big project.

As years passed by, the publishing house under his mentorship started publishing the iconic sports weekly El Gráfico and the popular magazine Gente. In 1971, he stepped away from traditional publishing as his company bought a stake in Channel 13, thus bringing a new dawn in Spanish publication history.

Continuing his work in digital broadcasting, Vigil took a big step in the 90s by participating in the founding of Telefé which today is one of Argentina’s six national television networks. Constancio truly was a visionary!
