The script didn’t pan out how Cristiano Ronaldo had hoped. Despite CR7 promising a ‘Remontada’, a few days ago, Al Ain dumped Al Nassr out of the Champions League. With this Luis Castro’s side might have lost their best possible chance to win a trophy this season. And, it looks like the Al Ain players are delighted to see the back of the Saudi side per the latest footage.
Cristiano Ronaldo did not have the best of matches yesterday. Despite getting on the scoresheet, the Portuguese icon missed a sitter in the 67th minute. The Al Nassr faithful mocked the miss via social media and an Al Ain star is the latest to take a dig at CR7.

In an untelevised footage that has emerged on X (formerly Twitter), Al Ain right back Saeed Juma Hassan made a funny Cr7 imitation. Following the match, the defender facing the camera, proudly kissed the Al Ain badge on his shirt. What followed next was his own version of the ‘Siuu’. While many other players have previously imitated the ‘Siuu’, it is likely that Hassan is poking some fun at an uncharacteristic Cristiano Ronaldo performance.

Following the season-ending injury to 25-goal attacker Anderson Talisca, all eyes were on the Portuguese phenomenon, ahead of the match. After all, he had promised his mother a victory in the return leg. But, Cristiano Ronaldo in 120 minutes, had just a single penalty to show for it. Also, Cristiano Ronaldo did face some flak for entering 3rd in the Spot kicks. By this time, the 2 Al Nassr players before, had all missed their attempts! And, the match was pretty much decided.
The 5-time Ballon d’Or winner was also spotted issuing an apology to the fans after missing a golden choice. He looked disappointed and it seems the brawl that broke out later would not have improved his mood at all.
A heated post-match clash between Al Nassr players and opponents!
It seems the defeat wasn’t well received by Luis Castro and his team. The tension from the 120-minute encounter spilled over and resulted in a face-off between players from the two sides. Fortunately, there wasn’t anything too violent and none of the involved players received a yellow card. But, there was a lot of pushing and shoving. As expected, Cristiano Ronaldo was at the scene of action but did not get overly involved. Perhaps, still dwelling on the shocking exit.

Luis Castro and the side will now have to focus on the league. With the rampant Al Hilal 12 points ahead of them, it will take a special few months if the Knights of Najd are to have any hopes of winning the League. And the manager has already toned down the expectations as he said, “Don’t just expect results from me.”
