Remember the viral video of Andy Robertson singing, “Marry me, Szoboszlai, you will never have to be alone” to the tune of Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’. That funny clip came after Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai recently announced his engagement to Hungarian influencer Borka Buzsik. While his name may be difficult to spell, it was not hard for the handsome Hungarian to find love.

He recently went public about his relationship with Borka Buzsik in July this year, after Hungary’s Euro 2024 campaign. Taking to Instagram, he shared the news of his engagement with his 2.7 million followers. So far, the midfielder has been shining both on and off the pitch.

As the oldest of two siblings, he has a younger brother, Benedek, and a sister, Zsuzsanna. There isn’t much available information about them. For Dominik, Ferenc Puskás was his idol growing up. And yes, we see the Hungarian connection as well.
Currently, his Liverpool side sits at the top of the Premier League table. As the third Hungarian player to represent the Merseyside club, he has the opportunity to make history at Anfield, especially with Manchester City suffering. Since Arne Slot took over, the Reds have been playing some of their best football ever. Will the Hungarian be able to translate his off-field achievements onto the pitch? Only time will tell.
