In a recent interview with Variety, the owners opened up about filming the second season of docuseries with a few cuts. “If you’re just reading the headlines, you probably think, ‘Oh, this show is going to be funny’,” said Reynolds. Wrexham changed their coaching staff and released some players in their first season. Hence, it showcased the competitive nature of sports and forced tough decisions on what to air. “Those were really difficult moments. You realise this is not a game, this is not a television show, these are people’s lives,” McElhenney added. “We do not take any of that lightly, and we were on camera making those decisions.”

The Always Sunny actor insisted it was a “conscious choice,” not to put all such scenes in the documentary. He said, “It didn’t seem fair to the people who were going through the real difficult thing in that situation to focus it on us, as if our agony was more important than theirs. It certainly was not.”

It seems the new season will have plenty of entertainment, joy, and drama. However, fans may expect the show to be a bit filtered. Aside from talking about season two, the owners also opened up about the difficult moments.
