The best athletes are not those that never fall, but those that get up“. These were Neymar‘s words in a new video that perfectly portrayed his current situation. Following his $98 million move to Al Hilal, the Brazilian was eager to display his otherworldly talent in Saudi. However, fate had other plans and the former PSG man was pretty much ruled out for this entire season due to an injury. Yet, it looks like his recovery is going well as a ‘noticeably different’ Neymar was spotted in a video snippet showcasing his rehabilitation process.

The Al Hilal star is currently in recovery at the Aspetar Centre in Qatar, a specialized Sports Medicine Hospital. Their recent video has been a talking point among soccer fans all over. The 53-second clip shows the soccer icon performing intense workout exercises while appearing to give a motivating push to his supporters. Neymar says, “Who says the Best Athletes of all time are the ones that never fall? It was never like this and it will never be.” Further, Neymar explains as to what makes a ‘GOAT’.

He says, “The GOATS are those that put their objectives before the egos. Those that are empowered by the strength of others. Those that choose the hardest way to the top.” Also, in the video, Neymar had visibly bulked up. Fans on social media seen the funny side as they jokingly mocked the veteran in rehab for gaining weight. However, Neymar’s putting on weight due to his extreme injury is understandable.  Since the 21/22 season, the Brazilian playmaker has missed 44 games due to injury! This is without even counting the games he has missed after his current ACL tear (27).

While the soccer veteran is working hard to back on the pitch for Al Hilal, the team is surprisingly not missing him! This is per the club CEO, Esteve Calzada who seemed more than happy with the other options.

Al Hilal ‘not affected’ by ‘important’ Neymar’s absence!

Fans were taken aback by Calzada’s recent comments. Speaking on Neymar’s injury, he said, “His injury was painful for us. He is an important player, but it is clear that we were not affected by his absence. We won 19 consecutive matches.” Not the words the Al Hilal’s record-breaking signing would have wanted to hear. But were these comments justified?
