How was your Christmas? We hope you had a blast exchanging gifts and enjoying the savory treats, as it seemed everyone was in the jolly spirit during that time of the year. Of course, we would love to know what you wished and prayed for on Christmas Eve, but Trinity Rodman certainly knows what to expect this festive season, as the USWNT superstar wants to “host SNL.”
Saturday Night Live, that too, Rodman? It sure is one Christmas wish that we hardly get to hear. But before we talk about how exciting an opportunity this would be for the Washington Spirit forward and her fans, we might as well understand how it began. Well, on the occasion of Christmas Eve, Trinity decided to come live on Instagram and have a one-way communication with her 524K followers.
Interestingly, while interacting with her fans, she mentioned, “Okay, my dream is to host SNL.” A person who accompanied her reacted to this in surprise and added, “That’d be sick,” with Trinity continuing, “I want to host SNL. I think it would be so funny and I think it will be hilarious.” As Dennis Rodman’s daughter expressed her wish, the fellow companion added, “Put the word out there.”

This only led the 22-year-old to take her plea to host the Saturday Night Live to her followers. She asked them to urge the stakeholders of the renowned show to let her host one of the segments by adding, “Guys, DM SNL and tell them I wanna host.”

Seems like it must have been a childhood dream of Trinity to at least make an appearance on the show. Well, one would guess so, considering how popular the show is. Renowned actors, comedians, and artists come together to deliver brief, hilarious sketches that tackle current events, clever themes, and occasionally absurd topics.
Whether she would be able to get her word around the people at NBC and Peacock to host the show is something that remains to be seen. Even we reckon she would be a perfect fit for the show as she knows the true definition of fun.
Trinity Rodman wants to bring more ‘fun’ to the game
On the pitch, you may never see anyone as determined and serious as Trinity Rodman. However, off the pitch, she is often at her best, displaying a relaxed and cheerful demeanor. This is something the Spirit star aims to balance, as she’s not only focused on becoming the best player she can be. But also on embracing the joy in the game that often gets overlooked. “I want to be the athlete that brought the fun to sport,” she revealed earlier during an interview.

Rodman’s ultimate goal is to be remembered as the vibrant and joyful Trin when her playing days come to an end. She’s also committed to adding a unique flair to her name and game that sets her apart from the rest. “I don’t want to be the one that scored a thousand goals, I don’t need to be the best athlete. I want them to be like she was a great athlete, but she also made it fun to watch and be a part of,” concluded Rodman.
Her life goals are truly unique. No wonder it sets her apart from the rest. While it would be interesting to see how she brings the fun side to the sport. Let’s see if Trinity Rodman gets to do the same on Saturday Night Live!
