USWNT: More than just laughs and dances. Do we undervalue their dedication and hard work?

5th gold medal for the USWNT. That’s what Emma Hayes brought in after a blockbuster appointment. The ‘Triple Espresso’ frontline brought goals, stunning link-ups, and fluidic movement like the golden days. However, some misconceptions come up with it, according to Trinity Rodman. The trio of Rodman, Sophia Smith, and Mallory Swanson scored at least three goals, each with Swanson getting a fourth in the final. Yet, many question their training methods.

Whenever someone sees training videos of the USWNT, we see them having a gala time, appearing to take things lightly. All those rumors are squashed. Rodman mentioned how the USWNT camp is on a high and aims to win more. She wants this momentum to carry forward and shut down the haters who speak otherwise.

After their match against Brazil to claim the gold, Rodman mentioned, “We’ve been having so much fun. But again, we still push each other hard. There’s a misconception of, ‘Oh, they laugh and dance all the time at training. They’re not serious.’ We just proved to everyone that we are and that we take this very seriously,” according to the Athletic.

And with Trinity Rodman amongst their ranks, they certainly have a player who can score multiple goals.

She stated, “We are so looking forward to the things we can do together. Of course, tonight we have a gold medal, but it doesn’t mean it ends there. We want so much more for ourselves because we’re competitors. But we’re just at the beginning. About 75 days in, baby.”

Notably, Emma Hayes wants more after her blueprint with Chelsea worked wonders by claiming 16 major trophies. The story is not done yet. These young women are ready to unleash themselves to claim the World Cup in 2027 and keep proving the naysayers wrong. Do you think Trinity Rodman can lead the USWNT to another title?
