Papu Gomez failed his dope test that happened during his stint with Sevilla. There is also a big chance that he will lose his World Cup winners medal. The ban is not yet in effect with his current club AC Monza. However, the Italian Soccer Federation will ban him, once they receive confirmation. Papu Gomez is considering to appeal the ban in the court. However, if the appeal fails, Gomez will consider retirement from soccer.

The league is also enjoying increased viewership with the help of the Portuguese soccer star. There is a high chance that Cristiano Ronaldo will spend his remaining years in the cash-rich league.
