In recent weeks, the name Elliot Lee has been making waves in the world of soccer. The talented 28-year-old midfielder has been in scintillating form for Wrexham AFC in the EFL League Two, having already netted an impressive ten goals this season. News of Lee’s exceptional form has even caught the attention of Tom Brady-owned Birmingham City. However, it appears they will need to present an offer that Wrexham absolutely cannot refuse.

News of Birmingham’s interest in signing Lee has been circulating for the past week, and it’s not difficult to see why. The team currently finds themselves languishing in the 18th position in the Championship League. It seems like they are looking to bolster their squad with the addition of a player of Lee’s caliber, who incidentally was the most challenging signing secured by Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds.

The interest from Birmingham has generated discussions amongst soccer pundits. Former Premier League star Carlton Palmer has also weighed in on the matter. In his talk with Football League World Palmer shared, “In my opinion, Lee is a Championship level player playing in a lower division, so it’s no surprise to me that he’s attracting the attention of Championship clubs“.

Despite this, Palmer also has reservations about the likelihood of Lee leaving Wrexham. He stated, “Championship clubs would have to make an unrefusable offer as Wrexham are ambitious, financially backed, and under no pressure to sell”.

The former Southampton player also pointed out that Wrexham is currently eyeing back-to-back promotions. Also, he would be genuinely surprised if Lee were to depart at this crucial juncture in the club’s journey. “I think Birmingham will have to look elsewhere,” Palmer believes.

It remains to see whether Tom Brady, a highly influential figure in the world of sports, will put forth an offer that persuades the Welsh club. However, the task at hand is not straightforward, and interestingly, wasn’t easy for Ryan Reynolds either.
