Both Reynolds and McElhenney have been interacting with the club’s community throughout their tenure as owners, and this time, it was no different. This comes after six-year-old Leland was diagnosed with pre-leukemia in September last year. His struggle to find a stem cell donor caught national heed after Blyth Spartans player JJ O’Donnell shared Leland’s story on Twitter.

The owners also got to know about the story, and since then they have been in regular contact with his family. In fact, recently, the duo sent a heart-warming message to the young boy. Leland’s mother recently shared a video of her son ringing the bell. His transplant was successful, and he is continuing his recovery.

This moment was reshared by the Hollywood owners, who had a heartwarming message for the young boy. Reynolds retweeted the video and wrote, “Today is a good day.” Moreover, McElhenney also reshared the tweet by adding a heart and a bell emoji. The bell is rung when a cancer patient completes their treatment. It is done to mark a significant milestone, thus, celebrating and closing a difficult chapter.

Indeed, it is a big moment for the young lad, who has been so brave on this journey. This isn’t the first time as earlier, Reynolds sent Leland a series of heartfelt messages. Either way, this shows their top-notch ownership, as they recently made yet another wholesome gesture.
