Welcome to Wrexham, the popular documentary series starring Ryan Reynolds, is back for its highly anticipated second season. Just like last season, fans are getting to enjoy another dose of Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham AFC magic. However, what’s different this time around is that the focus has shifted from just the men’s team to also the women’s team. Still, it seems that one particular episode has caused quite a stir among critics.

Last season was undoubtedly a triumph for Wrexham and its fans. The men’s team clinched victory in the National League, securing their promotion to League Two. Season Two of “Welcome to Wrexham” showcases the incredible journey the Welsh side had last year and also the struggles that came along with it. However, one critic, Steven Ross, had doubts about how this season would unfold. In a recent podcast, he discussed season two and expressed his concerns about the 40-minute standalone special episode dedicated solely to the women’s team.

Ross described the episode as “sort of very eye-opening” because it sheds light on the hardships and challenges faced by the women’s team. These include playing on a school soccer field with no fans and receiving no payment for their efforts. While Ross commended the show for bringing attention to these issues, he also questioned the decision to dedicate just one episode to the women’s team.

In his words, “I’m not sure how it’s going to go down because it was really good to see it and to see them like taking an interest in the women’s team”. He further added, “Then it is also a 15-episode season and they’ve given one episode to the women’s team, which is a standalone thing”.

As the season unfolds and fans tune in to “Welcome to Wrexham,” it will be interesting to see what will be the reception of fans. Also, will be interesting to see if Ryan Reynolds, who is worth around $350 million and is known for his witty sense, will have some say in this. In the meanwhile, let’s look at how Wrexham is performing in its return to EFL League Two.
