Belgium was running out of time and tried to attack Morocco after conceding. However, it was too late, as Morocco came up with another goal 20 mins after scoring their first. Belgium’s hope to qualify for the knockout stages now hangs by a thread. They will have to beat 2018 runners-up Croatia in their final game to seal the R16 spot.

Many thought group F to be a two-team affair, with Belgium and Croatia being the better sides among the four. However, the FIFA Qatar World Cup has been full of surprises. Canada lost to Belgium in their first game but was the better team after 90 minutes of the game. Morocco also managed to draw against Croatia in their opening game.
Morocco now leads the table with 4 points from 2 games, followed by Belgium with 3 points. Croatia and Canada are yet to play and sit 3rd and 4th, respectively. However, the table could change with Croatia vs Canada’s result. However, the group stays wide open, and it is mathematically possible for any of the four teams to qualify for the next round from here.
