Bodybuilding legend and Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger is a huge soccer fan. He used to play the sport during his childhood days in Austria. Schwarzenegger advocated the bid of the United States for the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.

Arnold Schwarzenegger with Premier League trophy
Premier League, to promote the league, takes the trophy accompanied by Premier League legends to various countries. They have visited all around the world, and it is one of the critical initiatives behind the popularity of the league. As a part of the initiative, former Newcastle United and England legend Alan Shearer visited the United States with the trophy.

Arnold Schwarzenegger went to meet Alan Shearer during the event. The former Mr. Universe was happy to feel the Premier League trophy and meet Alan Shearer.
He said, “I also got to meet one of the greatest soccer players of all time, Alan Shearer! Alan has the record for most goals in the Premier League — the biggest soccer league in the United Kingdom! He was an awesome guy, and it was so much fun to hear about his career as a player and now as a broadcaster. Alan was in Los Angeles with the Premier League trophy to promote the league in America, so getting to see the trophy was also a big highlight. I grew up with soccer, played soccer in high school, and I am still a big soccer fan, so this was a big deal for me.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a Liverpool fan. He thinks of soccer as a sport that inspires millions of children to find a brighter future. The sport is also a big entertainment according to the actor.
Alan Shearer is still a Premier League top scorer
Southampton FC graduate started his senior club career with a parent club in 1988. Although, he is well known for his exploits with Newcastle United. The striker moved to Blackburn Rovers in 1992 before moving to Newcastle in 1996. It was at Blackburn that Shearer started getting recognition as a lethal striker.

Shearer scored massive 112 goals in Premier League in 138 appearances for Blackburn. He played for Newcastle from 1996 until his retirement in 2006 and scored 148 PL goals in 303 appearances for Newcastle. While playing for the England national team, the striker in his 63 caps got 30 international goals.
