In recent times, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. To add to the growing scrutiny, he is also reportedly planning on leaving Al-Nassr at the end of the season. With all sorts of rumors and reports on the internet, his ever-famous mother released a strong-worded public statement.

What did Ronaldo’s mother say in his defense?
About a month ago, the Portuguese soccer veteran reportedly fought with Georgina Rodriguez numerous times. Reportedly, the two of them had a major argument before boarding a plane. Sources around them suggested that this could also be the end between them. However, Cristiano Ronaldo responded to the critics with a fulfilling Instagram post with Georgina.

However, the rumors still didn’t stop. That’s when Dolores Aveiro necessarily stepped in. In her statement, she admitted that reputable media outlets are responsible for these “false, slanderous, and even macabre” pieces of information. She quoted, “This slander is false, it is in bad faith and it is unfounded”, as per Google Translate.

She also revealed that such information affects the overall morale of the family. Aveiro revealed, “My grandchildren, some of them, already read and listen to the people and the criticism. And for this very reason, I will not give up until this newspaper proves everything that was written today”.
In all honesty, Aveiro was pretty apt and definitive with her statement. However, she doesn’t live with her family in Saudi Arabia. Weeks ago, she also responded to the critics that suspected a potential rift between herself and Georgina.

Why doesn’t Dolores Aveiro live with Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina?
Recently, the media confronted Ronaldo’s mother about her absence from Saudi Arabia. It is safe to say that she was quite honest about her reasons. While she didn’t deny a suspect rift, she also stated her reasons for being away from her son. She said, “It’s a lot of hours by plane. It’s very tiring”. Dolores Aveiro hasn’t visited Riyadh since February.

A commercial flight trip from Lisbon to Saudi Arabia would take 15–20 hours, including a layoff in Dubai. The soccer veteran’s mother is seemingly not in favor of the endless travel. The jury is still out there on whether Ronaldo will continue in Saudi next season or move onto greener pastures. Without a doubt, that will lighten the tension within his family, if any.
