In the last couple of years, from not knowing a thing about the sport, Ryan Reynolds has turned into a hero in the soccer universe. The amount of short-term success he has already received at Wrexham is immeasurable. Signing Ben Foster out of retirement for the Welsh soccer club is probably the best deal that the Deadpool star has made in the transfer market.
Reynolds has been very active on social media in recent times. A few hours ago, he reacted to a Ben Foster interview from months ago.

The interviewer had asked Foster to ideate his ‘ideal penalty save’. Strangely, the English goalie predicted a very similar situation as compared to the Notts County one.
How did Reynolds react to Foster’s prediction from months ago?
About six months ago, Foster made quite an accurate prediction for the future. The English goalie seemed pretty convinced with the ‘ideal penalty save’ scenario in his head. He said, “It’s the ninety-fourth minute. It’s the last kick of the game, right? We’re 2-1 up, it’s been a hard-fought game. We’re playing a top 4 side by the way. We’ve worked hard for this by the way and it was never a penalty”.

Strangely, Foster was spot on for most of his predictions. Little did he know that six months later, he would be playing soccer again. Wrexham co-owner, Ryan Reynolds, got hold of the same video. He reposted it on an Instagram story and wrote, “This made me weep. Football might be the most romantic thing in the world”. Reynolds and the fans are probably still feeling the emotions from their game last weekend.

During the same interview, Foster also mentioned that goalkeepers do not get to celebrate a stunning goal save very often. This is simply because the ball goes out for a corner and the game goes on. On the other hand, Foster accurately predicted this too! He said that the referee would blow the full-time whistle immediately after.
Currently chasing automatic promotion, the soccer universe witnessed an absolute thriller of a game between Wrexham and Notts County.

Wrexham on track for promotion
Just a few days ago, Wrexham played a ‘do or die’ game against Notts County. Notts County is also fighting for the same ‘automatic promotion’ spot on the points table. Everyone predicted that this game would be an absolute thriller, and rightly so! The game ended with a stunning 3-2 scoreline. Ben Foster, the Wrexham hero, saved a penalty in the dying moments of the game.

The fans went absolutely berserk after the game and lauded the English veteran goalie for his outstanding commitment to the club. Currently, the Welsh soccer club has a three-point lead with an extra game in hand. While the stakes are unbelievably high, if Reynolds’ club does not secure automatic promotion from this point, they will only have themselves to blame.
