On Monday night, Inter Miami fans got to witness another masterclass from Lionel Messi. The Argentinian superstar single-handedly led his side to yet another empathic win against FC Dallas. But did that win come by deceit?
He is out of this world. This was the reaction of the fans when they saw Messi curl yet another free-kick into the back of the net. His antics continue to garner him praise from the soccer fraternity. But now, his free-kick goal is getting him criticized by some of the fans, who are apparently accusing him of cheating.

FC Dallas hosted the round of 16 fixture against Inter Miami. The match started on a high note for the Herons, but it soon went in the home side’s favor. The Florida-based club was 4-3 down. However, in the 85 minutes of the game, Messi got the chance to equalize through a free-kick, which he certainly did.
However, now seeing the aftermath of the outrageous free-kick, some fans insist he was able to score it by cheating. Apparently, a clip was shared by a netizen showing that Messi moved the ball five steps ahead behind the referee’s back. This is garnering the Miami skipper a lot of criticism from several fans, as they insist it should have been retaken.

It seems fans might not be happy after learning the way his free-kick came. Now the soccer rules may prohibit him from doing such a thing. But Messi cleverly took his chance and managed to turn the odds in his favor. Nevertheless, his goal was able to help Miami get into the next round, while also maintaining his goal-scoring streak.

Inter Miami’s No.10 continues his goal-scoring streak
Messi has single-handedly turned around the fortunes of Inter Miami. The World Cup winner has managed to conclude all the games with man-of-the-match performances. In just four appearances, he has managed to score seven goals and get an assist to his name. A few of those goals came in the form of scoring three braces and two free-kicks.
