Soccer is one of the most unpredictable sports in the world. From Saudi Arabia defeating Argentina to Morocco’s incredible run in Qatar WC. The sport has given fans many unexpected moments. There are many upsets in the last few months in soccer but FA Cup has seen the most unbelievable stories this year.
Wrexham AFC set the bar really high when they punched 3 tiers above themselves and defeated Coventry. They were just minutes away to repeat that magic against Sheffield United. They have knocked Wrexham out, but they set the trend of upsets in the tournament.

Owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The fifth-tier Welsh club faced 2nd-tier Coventry. Fans highly considered the match one-sided which it turned out to be to some extent. But, no one thought Wrexham will be dominating the game. By the time of the final whistle, the score was 4-3 and Wrexham had pulled off a miracle. That miracle was repeated yesterday in the fifth round of the tournament.

The fourth-tier club Grimsby Town defeated the Premier League side. This is one of the craziest upsets in the tournament. Granted Southampton isn’t doing well in the League and is staring right at relegation. This upset has put Grimsby Town in the Quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Coming to the semi-finals the team will face another Premier League goliath Brighton FC. Other scheduled quarterfinals are Manchester City vs Burnley, Manchester United vs Fulham, and Sheffield United vs Blackburn Rovers.

In a not-so-shocking but surprising match, Sheffield United defeated Tottenham Hotspur. In a very close match, the 2nd tier club came out on top with the final score being 1-0. From Knocking out Wrexham to taking on the Premier League giants. The team will face equal competition in the Quarterfinals as they fight another 2nd tier team for the semifinals.
