Wrexham AFC has finally made it to the EFL Football League Two. It has been 15 years since the club last played in the Football League. The club achieved the promotion dream in the second full season under new owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The passionate owners were present for the game against Boreham Wood, where the club achieved automatic promotion by winning the title.

The Hollywood duo has significantly invested in the club since the takeover. They also invested in the upliftment of the Wrexham community. There were several occasions where Reynolds and McElhenney showed their humility towards the community and fans. However, McElhenney came out to support their fierce title rivals with a classy message on social media recently.

Wrexham co-owner urges fans to purchase Notts County season tickets

As the 2022-23 season is nearing its end, soccer clubs are already planning for the next season. The crucial part of it is the season tickets. Several clubs have started to give some early offers for renewing or purchasing new season tickets to their fans. As part of a promotion, Notts County urged its supporters by giving them such an offer for the tickets for the 2023-24 season.

Who would have thought the co-owner of their fiercest rivalthis season would help them to promote the season tickets? Rob McElhenney retweeted the original tweet of Notts County by captioning it“This is an absolute bargain. I encourage anyone in the area to do this if you can. Notts County is one of the most exciting teams in sports.” It received praise from many rival fans.

The Wrexham owners have been respectful to their rival clubs throughout their stint at the club. They feel County deserves the promotion and urged the National League to have more than one automatic promotion spot. After winning the title, the duo praised Notts County for giving Wrexham a run for their money.

The Racecourse Stadium erupted in wild celebrations on Saturday after Wrexham beat Boreham Wood 3-1. The win ensured the National League title with the automatic promotion to the EFL League Two. Reynolds, McElhenney, and fans were out of words.

Meanwhile, after a few hours break, Rob McElhenney took to Twitter, pleading for help for his ‘addiction’. He wrote“I have a problem. I am addicted to watching @Wrexham_AFC videos. Please send help.” It seems to be a great addiction for the co-owner.

It remains to be seen how the club, its owners, and the players respond next season after the absence of 15 years from the Football League.
