The ongoing season has been rough for Neymar Jr. The Brazilian icon returned from a fourth month-long injury in August. However, things have turned out even worse for the player just two months after his return. Neymar was once again stretchered off the field in his last outing and this time he is bound to miss most of the season. Following his injury, a soccer analyst touched down on Neymar, pointing out his ‘downfall’ and ‘failure’ to turn up for his country in the biggest moments.
Based on the statement from Brazil Football Confederation, Neymar is set to be sidelined for nine months. The player suffered a torn ACL and will go into surgery later this year. His injury is a big blow for both Brazil and Al Hilal, who will miss his services for the entirety of the season.

Media outlets have been all over Neymar Jr’s injury after the Brazilian was taken off the field in his last outing. The medics had to rush and stretcher the player off the field following the injury. Discussing the player’s injury, ESPN’s analyst commented on the soccer veteran’s injury during their recap. While BFC has noted that Neymar could return before Copa America, this particular analyst has a different opinion.
He said, “It’s kinda sad, Ale. We grew up watching Neymar. We know how good he can be on his day and obviously, the downfall has been something we have talked about a lot. From the move to PSG to get out of Messi’s shadow to failing to turn up in some of Brazil’s big games. Now he is in a situation that this could legitimately be his last game.”
The Brazil Football Confederation informed the press and fans about the player’s injury following the clash against Uruguay. It has turned out to be a tragic loss for both Al Hilal and Brazil. With Neymar going to be sidelined for an extended period, the veteran took to social media to pen an emotional note for his fans.
