Cristiano Ronaldo once advised his elder son to work hard
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner visits Portugal frequently. It was back in 2019 when he took his elder son with him. Ronaldo’s old roommate, Paixao, accompanied them during the visit. He took his son to his old room where he used to live in his childhood.
While speaking of the incident in 2019, Ronaldo said, “I go to Lisbon a lot. Sometimes Cristiano Jr. comes with me. Last year, I wanted him to see where I grew up. It was me, Paixao, and Cristiano Jr. We went to the room where I used to live with Paixao.”

Ronaldo added, “My son looked at me and said: ‘Dad, did you really live here?’ He couldn’t believe it. They think everything today is easy. The quality of life, the houses, the cars. The way we dress. They think these things fall from the sky,” while sharing his son’s disbelief.
The five-time UEFA Champions League winner didn’t stop here. He shared how he makes his son aware of what will get him success. The Portuguese added, “And this is what I try to instill in Cristiano Jr. and whenever I visit schools. What I try to get across is today, having talent is not enough. What I try to passing on kids is with hard work and dedication, you can achieve anything you want.”
