Napoli and their star striker Victor Osimhen have had a week to forget. The Naples outfit stirred up controversy after their social media team posted a slanderous video of Osimhen missing a penalty against Bologna on TikTok. Napoli’s president took a jibe at Al Hilal after a transfer offer for Victor Osimhen
As reported earlier, Napoli’s president Aurelio Di Laurentiis rejected Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal’s staggering $250 million offer for the African forward. In an email, Di Laurentis sent to the Saudi club, he stated,“Your $215 million offer can buy only one foot of Osimhen”. Di Laurentiis further added: “For next year, I think you’ll be able to offer $500 million and we’ll probably consider your offer, but I repeat: maybe.”
Osimhen’s contract with Napoli runs till 2025. But perhaps, Napoli and their president will be looking to cash in on their prized asset in the near future. However, Di Laurentiis is known to play hardball, and as interest in Osimhen grows, we could see a move materialize sooner or later for a new world record fee. Watch out for this transfer!
