Recently, Man United legend Gary Neville had some words to quote for the actor duo, at the expense of his former side’s owners. “Honestly, I think everyone has got the point whereby what the Glazers do, they erode every little last bit of energy out of everything that they do,” he said, as stated by the Express.
The former England international insists the owners, who don’t care and don’t accept criticism have run their course at the English club. He also said fans are fed up with the Glazers, and he is emphatic about how they feel. Neville also slammed the Devils’ owners, who know nothing about the club, the part of the country, or the tradition of football.
He then used the Wrexham owners as a good example. “They turn up there. They’ve done it well at Wrexham and they’ve got obviously a long way to go to get to probably where they want to be, Championship (or) Premier League, and probably that might take three years, eight years, 12 years, who knows,” Neville said.
Indeed, the Red Dragons’ owners must be proud to hear such words, who are in contention to play a friendly with United next month. Despite his strong dislike for the Glazers, Neville acknowledged their business acumen and intelligence, as they had effectively increased the value of his former club. Nonetheless, the ownership may come to an end as United is in line for a massive takeover.
Manchester United set the stage for new ownership
Perhaps Neville’s and the Red Devils’ wish has been granted, as Manchester United might see a change in ownership. This comes after the Glazer family started looking at prospects to sell the club. They are familiar with the criticism, which is simply forcing them to leave the club. Formally, two offers are on the table for the Premier League side.

The first one is from the Nine Two Foundation, led by Qatari Sheikh Jassim. The other offer is from Sir Jim Ratcliffe of chemicals giant Ineos. It is understood that both bidders have put forth a similar offer with change in key details being the differentiator. However, nothing has materialized so far.
