Situation does not define you in soccer; it is the passion and love you receive. The story of a budding next-generation star will truly make FC Barcelona proud to have him on the team. The Catalan club has been struggling for the last few years. But the 18-year-old Brazilian star, Vitor Roque, chose them instead of the most happening team in the world, Manchester City.

Manchester City has been acquiring the best players in the market with their performance and influence. But this time their efforts have been unsuccessful after a determined Roque didn’t require what City offered.

According to the latest reports, Manchester City was interested in buying the former Athletico Paranaense player with a lot of money; however, Roque was committed to joining FC Barcelona. Senior journalist Xavi Torres recently said, “HE @ManCityCatala WENT TO LOOK FOR VÍTOR ROQUE. They offered him a lot more money than Barça. And it was the player who said thank you, but that he preferred to go to Barça. City don’t always get it right, but something means, that.”

Its a well-known fact that Manchester City can afford to bring anything from the market. The club, under the management of former Culer, went for Roque with a much greater offer (undisclosed) than the current one, which is $44 million. The player has grabbed FC Barcelona’s eyeballs since his youth days for the Brazil national and his former club’s youth teams. Deco, the sporting director of the Blaugrana, did not wait but went and made sure to strike an agreement last July.

Vitor Roque has been lauded as an extremely talented player. Roque was selected as the rookie of the 2022 Copa Libertadores, scoring two goals and providing two assists overall. The player has an overall record of 28 goals and 11 assists for the club and 6 goals for the Brazilian under-20 team.

However, in this case, FCB, which is already in financial crisis, could not afford to sign him after the deal with River Plate reportedly collapsed. Now it looks like the UAE-owned team is the club to be aware of before going for any young talents.
