English superstar David Beckham had a rough time following his infamous incident from the 1998 World Cup. Fans across England were enraged with the former Manchester United star booing wherever he went. It did not help his case that his manager threw him under the bus following the defeat against Argentina. However, despite the drama, Beckham still had the support of his mother, who stood by him during his rough phase.
David’s mother Sandra Beckham, in a clip from her son’s docuseries, touched down on the incident, namedropping former England manager claiming that he was on her hit list. The 74-year-old said she was disappointed with how the manager acted as she was used to managers who support their players.

In a clip from David Beckham’s recent docuseries ‘Beckham’, his mother Sandra Beckham is seen slamming the former England manager. Sandra added she had added Glenn Hoddle to her hit list after he threw her son under the bus.
“Glenn Hoddle said his head wasn’t in the right place [before Tunisia], didn’t he? I just put him on my hit list – people that upset me. When I watched Glenn Hoddle’s interview I thought ‘No, what have you done?’ He made it that it was David’s fault, and we’d been used to a manager, Alex Ferguson, who never spoke about his team. They just blamed him after that,” she said.
Sandra’s words are understandable considering her position. David Beckham endured a rough time following the incident. Fans booed the English international all throughout England for an entire year following the incident.
