The desperation among fans to see Wrexham play against Chelsea seems to have gone to the next level. While the sold-out tickets are one indication, you would be surprised to hear the local’s ground report.

Recently, Aaron Nelson from the Chapel Hill Chamber of Commerce spoke with WRAL’s Ashley Rowe to give insight regarding Wrexham vs Chelsea. When asked about the spectators’ response, he said, “Oh, there are people coming from everywhere. Tickets were sold in all 50 U.S. states. We are expecting folks to be flying in, maybe 2/3rds of the folks coming from somewhere else. And as well as locals really enjoying themselves.”

He continued, “There are already people here. We’re sold out and all of our hotels this week. Most folks with a two-night stay. So it is expected to busy on Tuesday night, Wednesday night for the game, as well as Thursday.” Indeed, the excitement among fans seems way too much, as they can’t wait to see both sides in action. Moreover, the bigger question is, can Wrexham really show their competitiveness against Chelsea?
