With a knee injury to Rob Lainton, he will be out for up to two months. In its crucial final stretch, Wrexham wasted no time and managed to bring former English goalkeeper Ben Foster and sign him until the end of the season. Fans are going crazy since the news came out.

Fans are crazy at Wrexham AFC for signing Ben Foster

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano broke the news of Ben Foster coming out of retirement to join the world’s third-oldest soccer club. Fans are reacting to the news with excitement. One of the fans wrote, “The man, the myth, the legend has returned.”

A few fans labeled the news as insane and massive for the club as it is a game changer for the Wrexham popularity. Another set of fans took the opportunity to troll Tottenham Hotspur as Foster rejected them recently and joined a fifth-tier side.

It will be an excellent addition for Wrexham as they are in contention for the promotion to League Two. Foster’s experience will come in handy for the club in the last stretch of the season. Recently, Wrexham’s starting goalkeeper Mark Howard was under scrutiny for his below-par performances. It resulted in the club dropping crucial points.

The signing of Ben Foster will give Phil Parkinson an excellent option on the bench. Foster’s signing will come in handy, especially with the club in line to take on title rivals Notts County in a few days. Also, the signing will be an impressive scene when it comes to the second season of the Welcome To Wrexham docu-series.
