NBA icon LeBron James talked about the ex-PSG star’s move to Miami in an interview showering praise on the player.

This is not the first time LeBron has lauded the Argentine soccer star. The LA Lakers star was present at the DNV x PNK Stadium last year during Messi’s debut game against Cruz Azul. LeBron was seen exchanging some words with the Inter Miami star during their brief interaction as he took to his social media to appreciate La Pulga following his dream debut.

The NBA star talked about La Pulga’s move to the United States in an interview with ESPN journalist Dave Mcmenamin. LeBron was appreciative of the Argentine’s move to the country considering how it would boost the sport across the nation. “Seeing the GOAT of soccer, Lionel Messi grace the MLS with his great presence is a game-changer for us. His arrival not only elevates the league but also inspires a new generation of soccer fans in our country.”

The part-owner of Liverpool FC then added, “It takes an unparalleled dedication, work ethic, and talent to achieve what Messi has, and I have nothing but respect and admiration for him. I’m wishing all the best to him.”

Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami has been a masterstroke on the club’s behalf. The team has seen a massive boost in its revenue and market value following La Pulga’s arrival. MLS too has reaped the benefits with the league witnessing a boost in their viewership and ticket sales. With the upcoming MLS season set to kick-start in the coming weeks, all eyes are once again on Lionel Messi.

Can La Pulga shoulder Inter Miami’s expectations?

Lionel Messi will have to navigate through some tough hurdles this year with fans expecting the world from the Argentine. With La Pulga set to play his first complete season with Inter Miami, supporters believe their team has a fair shot at getting their hands on the league title. However, things are not as easy as it sounds with Miami amongst the lowest ranked teams in the tournament.

With a Barcelona reunion of sorts, boosted by Suarez’s signing, they definitely have a strong squad on paper. However, whether they will be able to live up to expectations is another game altogether.

The Argentine is currently out of action with a bicep injury. According to reports, Messi picked up the injury during the team’s fixture against Al Hilal during the Riyadh Seascon Cup. While the player has missed all the subsequent games following the fixture, the team management is confident that the player will be ready in time for the MLS season opener against Real Salt Lake on the 22nd of February.
