Wrexham is sitting on the edge of promotion, setting off their progression toward the ultimate plan of Ryan Reynolds. They had recently shocked the fans with their historical performance in FA Cup. Soccer pundits are praising the wave of positivity these owners brought to the club. But, it wasn’t as good of a start, as they learned many things on the way.

Ryan Reynolds learned a big lesson
Talking to Forbes last year, Reynolds gave insights about being the owner of a historical club. They talked about how the first few months of their owning Wrexham went for them. He talked about how he learned the difference between a team on paper and on the ground.

He said, “You can do everything, at least everything that you think is right from an operations perspective, and it’s unpredictable. That’s also what creates the magic. That’s what creates giant killers in the sport. Anything can happen. So there’s no part of us that rests on our laurels and gets too comfortable with any of this stuff.”
“We’re all on the edge of our seats along with every single and, I mean, every single member of the community and Wrexham about this season and the seasons beyond it. There’s a lot of work to do, and there’s always going to be a lot of work to do. It’s evergreen.”

It is fair to say that Ryan and Rob brought the best out of Wrexham. The owners, or at least one of them, are always there for the team in big moments. Their obsession and vision of the club were clear even before they got into the club.
McElhenney and Reynolds were ready to lose money
One of the Wrexham officials has recently revealed that when they started the process of assessing the club for a private takeover, they had to warn the new owners. Harvey stated that he was sure that the new owners will lose money getting their hands on the club. However, the case was a bit different, as they were ready to take the chance.
