Cristiano Ronaldo carries a surreal influence with him. Nowhere is this clearer than at Al Nassr, where his presence has catapulted the club to remarkable domestic glory. Beyond accomplishments and recognition, the well-known striker seems to have forged strong bonds, as his teammate Sadio Mane has shed light on his friendship with Ronaldo, insisting “He’s a good guy, a friend.”

Mane also took a big leap in his career during the summer transfer window, following in Ronaldo’s footsteps by donning Al Nassr’s No. 10 jersey. So how does the Senegalese star feel about sharing a locker room with CR7? Let’s hear from the man himself.

During a recent interview, Mane candidly spoke about his relationship with Ronaldo and the impact he has on the club. While insisting the club needs a leader like him, he said, “He’s a good guy, a friend. He constantly gives me advice so I can improve. And I think that’s what our club needs to move forward.”Indeed, these are some heartwarming claims from Mane, which would be music to Ronaldo’s ears. Notably, the former Liverpool player has seamlessly integrated into the team dynamics and forged a unique partnership with CR7.

In over 26 appearances across all competitions, the winger has bagged 12 goals and 6 assists. Interestingly, Ronaldo’s influence on Mane goes back even before he joined Al Nassr.

It was the Portuguese superstar himself who motivated the ex-Liverpool star to join Bayern Munich, saying, “A great club. This is a great step for you,” when the two accidentally encountered each other in Mallorca. Coincidentally, he joined Ronaldo in Riyadh a year later. Speaking of which, fans recently got a huge update on his future in Saudi Arabia.

If the former Bayern Munich star commits to Luis Castro’s until mid-2027, he will turn 36 then. It would be interesting to see how Mane keeps up his fitness to play with the Middle Eastern side. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of time for that. For now, he will be looking to focus on the current season and help his side clinch silverware.
