Soccer fans from the USA are in disbelief again. With the unkind but foreseeable knockout from the Qatar World Cup, fans had high hopes for the sport. Although some big names are busy in Europe playing in premium leagues, a few clubs, including Seattle Sounders, are battling to win the FIFA Club World Cup.
The teams are in morocco trying to win the trophy that many experts are predicting to be eventually won by Real Madrid. However, fans back at home had some high expectations as the last season’s MLS champion Seattle Sounders made their FIFA Club World Cup debut.

The tournament in morocco has 7 teams battling it out to see if they can have a chance to win the glory. The 7-match short tournament has seen Al Ahly, walking all over Auckland City FC, winning 3-0. In their next round, they faced Seattle Sounders yesterday. Apart from that Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca lost to Arabian club Al-Hilal in penalties. The game ended up with one goal for each draw. However, Al-Hilal had a great penalty performance and won by 5-3.
Fans react to the embarrassment of Seattle Sounders
Last night, the Seattle Sounders played against the African club Al Ahly. All matches in the tournament are a must-win. I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of this game. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This team has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye Seattle Sounders. I am no longer a fan pic.twitter.com/DWgMqZ4erD
