Recovering from a hip injury, Rafael Nadal recently spoke about his ambitions to become the next president of Real Madrid. However, when asked to choose the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi debate, the Madrid fan stated, “Messi is better, but I am a Madrid fan.”

Rafael Nadal wants the presidential role at Real Madrid!
The Spanish club is undergoing various changes in a bid to take the club to the next level. They have renovated Santiago Bernabeu with an underground cooling facility for the soccer pitch. Likewise, the club recruited sufficiently by signing multiple world-class talents and establishing a secure future. With Perez might be looking to leave the club, Nadal can be a perfect candidate. According to Movistar, Nadal expressed his ambitions to lead the club.

He stated, “It’s not something that’s on my mind right now, I promise you that. Would I like to be? Yes, I think so.” The tennis star’s former coach and uncle, Toni Nadal, is the brother of the former Madrid player, Miguel Ángel Nadal. Therefore, he has his roots established with the Madrid faithful.
He continued, “Now, at this point, it’s not something I’m thinking about for a number of reasons. We have the best president possible. Then you never know in life what you might think now, and what you might think tomorrow.”
To be the president of Real Madrid, the owners have specific guidelines for their appointment. They have to provide a bank guarantee for 15% of the budget, which mostly comes to around $106 million. Apart from that, they should be a club member for 20 years or more and be a Spanish national citizen. Nadal fits the bill perfectly. He ended, “I am quite realistic with myself. I know my limitations, and I’m not sure if I would be capable. Time will tell.”

Cristiano Ronaldo partners with Nadal for hospitality!
Another Madrid connection is that of his hospitality business with Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo played with Madrid for nine seasons and established himself as one of the greatest of all time. He scored goals for fun and partnered with Nadal to start a restaurant named Tatel. It is under the operation of The Mabel Hospitality Group, which has branches in Valencia, Ibiza, Beverly Hills, Doha, and Madrid.
