Yesterday, Foster had a statement that presented their perception of this match. He wanted every player of the team to play with a sort of vengeance in mind. “we can take a bit of anger from the [Halifax] game and turn it into a real high-tempo, proper performance for our fans to enjoy,” he said, talking about the match against Notts County.
It is really fitting to see that statement coming full circle as he made the save to win the match for the team. With 103 points, Wrexham is now at the tabletop and has a strong hold on the league. Fans must now be thankful to Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds brought back Ben Foster paying just ‘in peanuts’!

Every Wrexham fan was in awe and shocked when Wrexham announced that veteran GK Ben Foster will be coming out of retirement. Everyone thought it has to be about the money Reynolds was paying, but that claim was not true. Speaking metaphorically, Ben Foster joked that Wrexham was paying him “in Peanuts“. His comeback has more to do with the marketing side of the spectrum.
He has brought back the most popular series on his YouTube channel, i.e, match day vlog, and will be appearing in the second season of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’. Given he just saved their promotional run, his part now would definitely be bigger than he initially wanted.
