Amid the ongoing hype for FIFA Women’s World Cup, Megan’s LEGO figurine steals the spotlight once again. A few days back, the USWNT star went on Instagram to share, “Girls, this one’s for you! Show the world what you’ve got and #PlayUnstoppable! Super excited to be part of this with LEGO.”
The popular soccer star recently got featured in LEGO’s new Icons of Play set, part of the company’s Play Unstoppable campaign. Megan shared a very empowering message for fans and female athletes. Furthermore, her motive and message were also about LEGO’s campaign goals. The campaign aims to break down stereotypes and empower girls to play with whatever they want.
Apart from Megan, the LEGO set includes three other players: Australia’s Sam Kerr; Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala, and Japan’s Yuki Nagasato. The 899-piece set also offers a mini soccer field, stands, a dugout, a podium, and a camera for video-assisted review. Moreover, fans were thrilled to see the resemblance between Megan Rapinoe and her LEGO figurine.
