“Sue Bird, I Have Missed You” – Hours Before Fiancé Megan Rapinoe’s NWSL Opener Against Trinity Rodman’s Spirit, Sue Bird Spotted Hanging Out in Seattle

The 2023 season of the NWSL has kicked off, and it has already started with a bang. So far, only two matches have been played, and both have been exciting. The North Carolina Courage clinched a narrow 1-0 victory against Kansas City.

On the other hand, the San Diego Waves hosted an emphatic five-goal thriller against the Chicago Red Stars. The Waves made an enthralling comeback against the Red Stars and clinched victory in the final few minutes of the game. An ice-cold finish from the spot by the skipper Alex Morgan saved the day.

Tomorrow, the other eight sides will play their opening fixture, with Morgan’s USWNT teammate, Megan Rapinoe, also set to plate her first game of the 2023 season.

Sue Bird spotted in Seattle

While Rapinoe is preparing for her opening fixture, her fiance, Sue Bird, has been spotted in Seattle, where she is busy with her own adventures. The former WNBA star was spotted at Climate Pledge Arena as she was there to watch the match of Seattle.

After that, she went to dinner with the famous ESPN sportscaster, Holly Rowe. The American telecaster also posted a small clip of Sue Bird eating at a fancy restaurant called Bar Sollea in downtown Seattle on Instagram.

She added the clip with the caption, “I have missed you.” In the video, Sue can be seen cutting a pizza with scissors. Both seemed to have a nice time, as they shared quite a laugh together. While it was quite an outing for Sue, along with her good friend Holly, Rapinoe was preparing for her first game of the season with OL Reign.

Can OL Reign repeat last year’s NWSL feat?

OL Reign will face Trinity Rodman’s Washington Spirit for the opening game. Both sides will be looking to clinch three points in order to maintain a great start from the very beginning. Moreover, Rapinoe’s side will be looking to make this season successful once again after previously lifting the NWSL shield.

However, they couldn’t win the championship after getting knocked out by Kansas City Current in the semifinals. On the other hand, it was a tough season for the Spirits, as they were 11th with just 19 points. Nevertheless, both sides will be looking to make a good impression for their first match of 2023.
