It feels like only yesterday when Wrexham AFC clinched promotion to EFL League Two. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s beloved club has been up and running since their takeover. While July indicates that the new season is just around the corner, today’s date also marks a special occasion in their history.

It was the immaculate efforts of everyone at the club which helped them to end their 15-year exile from the Football League. Be it the players like Paul Mullin and Ben Foster, manager Phil Parkinson, or the crucial backing of the owners, it was quite a toil. Seemingly, the Wrexham boss reminisced about such moments while celebrating the historic date.

Well, to break the ice, July 1 marks the date when Parkinson took charge at the Racecourse Ground. While everyone seemed to get on with their lives, he was busy staring at the tactical board, thinking day and night about how to clinch promotion. Having achieved that, he now focuses on the new campaign. “It is amazing just how quick the two years have gone,” said Parkinson, as per the Leader.

“So many memorable moments and talking points across the two years.
