Recently, reminiscing about many things, the Wrexham legend disclosed that he had the opportunity to join Tottenham. He also mentions the reason he couldn’t join the club or why it would be a very hectic process. About 10 days back, in an interview with TalkSport he divulged what alternate path he could have chosen in his career recently.

The Wrexham legend said, “It’s a case of they had to find out if I’m interested first and foremost, and straight away that was a yes. I was a boyhood Spurs fan so definitely something I would’ve contemplated. They then have to go to the Premier League and try and get special dispensation to see if they can sign another goalkeeper as an emergency signing.”

He continued, “The problem was that Fraser Forster was fully fit, while second-choice goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman is 23 years old so he doesn’t really count as a youth team goalie or reserve team goalie. He counts as a senior team goalie. That straight away got chucked out”. Thankfully for Wrexham fans, things worked out in their favor and they got a legendary goalkeeper.

Foster slid to the DMs of Wrexham owner

In the same interview, Foster also revealed how he slid into the DMs of Wrexham Owner Ryan Reynolds. He mentioned he had played for the club back in 2005. Also, he asked Reynolds if he would be down to appear in his podcast.
