Neymar has had a disappointing start to the Saudi Pro League. Returning from Brazil after breaking Pele’s 52-year-old record, the expectations were high for him. The Brazilian icon had a good debut contributing an assist and firing a blank but since after hasn’t been able to produce on the same level. Fans were quick to criticize him after his recent performance against Damac. However, the soccer veteran was quick to shut down the critics with a strong response this time.
The Al Hilal player is struggling to find his rhythm. The reasons are many but his recent visuals from the matches have left the fans and critics questioning his behavior. Neymar has been slammed for looking bored and uninterested during the strategic team talks.

Most of the time recently, Neymar has found himself in the negative spotlight. Having recently joined the SPL, the Brazilian is taking his time to adjust to the new environment but patience is not a virtue enjoyed by the soccer fans. In a video posted on Instagram that immediately went viral, the soccer veteran looks to be bored and unengaged during the strategic team talks.
The video was posted with the caption, “You can tell by the look on Neymar’s face that he was discouraged from playing ball. Am I wrong, or do you guys realize it too?”. Neymar was swift to hit back and take a stand as he commented on the post, “Stop Posting Sh*t.”
The Brazilian No.10 is clearly not interested in entertaining any kind of negativity surrounding him. Neymar’s comment explains that it’s not true and that there’s more to the story. The player has been facing backlash from fans since his days at Parc des Princes and knows how to handle them well.

Renato Mauricio Prado, a Brazilian journalist, firmly asserts that comparing Neymar and Pele is like contrasting “wines from different barrels”. He underscores the historical importance of Pele’s goals. Prado’s statement insinuated that Pele’s contributions were more pivotal and left an indelible mark.
During a spirited talk show, Luis Garcia, Shaka Hislop, and Alejandro Moreno passionately debated the greater underachiever between Neymar and Ronaldinho. Hislop argued that Neymar held this title due to his limited success. His sole accomplishment of a Champions League title, in Hislop’s view, failed to establish his greatness beyond that.
