After the match, Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson was invited to an exclusive interview with the talkSport podcast panel, which included a former soccer player and manager. Alan Pardew, who has been doing some research on Phil Parkinson, couldn’t resist bringing up a topic that would raise eyebrows. “One thing that I’ve got to bring up with you that I haven’t brought up with you privately. It’s a bit out of order to bring it on the phone on the radio station, I think,” Pardew said.

But, I have seen a couple of little podcasts that you’ve done Parky, and your acting ability mate, I don’t think you’ll be going to Hollywood, so just stick to the football mate. You’re a very good football manager,” Pardew added. It was a playful jab at the gaffer, who is also actively seen in ‘Welcome to Wrexham.’ Although, Parkinson admitted to Pardew’s comments and replied with a laugh, “I’ve been there, but they got me out of there quickly. I think it is a wise decision.”
