Manchester City will look to get back into the grove as they face Manchester United tonight. The Cityzens have been off their game this season, with the team currently placed second on the points table. However, if someone can turn their team around, it’s Pep Guardiola. The Man City manager recently talked about the team’s performance during a press conference. The Spaniard slammed the team’s critics, noting that his team will stay at the top level.
The team is currently placed third on the points table and will look to close the gap with Tottenham, who are currently placed first with 26 points to their name. Pep Guardiola and his men will be traveling to Old Trafford tonight as they take on arch-rivals United in the first derby of the season.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola took into the critics during his recent press conference. English fans have been enjoying the lapse of momentum from Manchester City with the team slipping to the third place in the league rankings. Guardiola, during his press conference before the Manchester United game, had some big words for the critics stating that his team is here to stay amongst the elites.
“Now Man City are a reality, we want to stay at the top level as long as possible. We won’t stop. Maybe it’s uncomfortable because we were not in the elite and now we are. Maybe it’s uncomfortable. But we were there, we’re there, we want to be there in the future.”

City has emerged as the best side in English football in the last 7-8 years. The side has established a stronghold on the Premier League title-winning the last three editions of the tournament. However, many English fans do not want to admit the fact considering the club is owned by Saudi owners giving the club an edge over the other side when it comes to finances.

Manchester City looking to get back in shape
The Cityzens had a great start to their season, as they won 6 consecutive games in a row. However, the team then lost two consecutive fixtures against Wolves and Arsenal, derailing their momentum. City seemed to have got their touch in their last outing against Brighton, but will look to repeat their showing when they take on Man United tonight.
This will be an enormous challenge for Manchester United who are currently placed at the 8th place on the table. While the team has earned two big wins in their last games, City will pose an enormous threat to the side. Erik Ten Hag and his side have been wobbly at best this season. The team has failed to leave an impact on a game as a unit with players putting out remarkable cameos to rescue the team.
