Luis Suarez has concluded his time at Gremio with a bang. With 24 goals and 17 assists in 52 games for the Brazilian side, El Pistolero has once again proved that class is permanent. Despite having played for some of the biggest clubs in the world, it does seem Suarez has a soft spot for FC Barcelona. Recently, the Uruguayan No. 9 sat down to discuss and reminisce about the famed MSN partnership with Lionel Messi and Neymar and how people perceived it negatively in the beginning.
Luis Suarez is currently a free agent and there are rumors of him wanting to join Inter Miami. If the move does materialize, MLS fans could enjoy the Messi-Suarez duo that dominated Europe in 2014-2015.

In a recent interview, the former Liverpool star discussed some of the problems he encountered during his initial days at FC Barcelona. Luis Suarez said, “When I arrived in Barcelona, I arrived as a star with Neymar and Messi. They were saying that 3 stars together wouldn’t work.” However, as per Suarez, the trio gradually forged a bond. He explained, “Leo and Neymar saw that I didn’t want to compete with them and didn’t want to do anything else but win and play well.” Perhaps this was the reason for their electric chemistry.
During the treble-winning season, the trio plundered 122 goals in all competitions. A key reason for their success was their off-the-pitch relationship. Luis Suarez revealed that the 3 were good friends in real life as well. Moreover, he also revealed an interesting piece of information. He said, “In the penalty kicks, Messi used to shoot, then Neymar and I was the last.” Considering his attitude, the Uruguayan doesn’t seem to be the one to shy away from responsibilities while valuing the efforts and talent of his fellow teammates too.
While Lionel Messi continues to enjoy his time in Inter Miami, a heartwarming reunion might be on the cards. However, there seems to be a minor roadblock. As fans are hoping for a reunion with Messi at Inter Miami, the former Liverpool fan might have other plans in mind.
