The Belgian soccer pro got famous last season after the French soccer club Reims appointed him as their manager. It was a massive task at hand for the 30-year-old with no experience as an actual manager in any of Europe’s biggest soccer leagues.
On top of that, Still is a former Football Manager enthusiast. Football manager is one of the most realistic soccer simulation games which has been out there for decades.

The game is very popular among diehard soccer fans who like to analyze every minute detail. Will Still is currently living the dream life after starting his soccer career with the game Football Manager and landing a job at Reims a decade later.

A few months ago, the Belgian gave an interview during which he spoke about his experience at Reims. He told the Coaches Voice, “I tell you what, and I think people play football manager will be able to, you know, identify themselves. That feeling of an 89 or 90th-minute winner, or a really important game that you know you have to win and you’ve probably over-prepared whatever you’ve done on the game, and it then comes off”.
He then tried to compare his real-life experiences to the times when he used to play the game on his computer. He chuckled and said, “And I can picture myself having a little dance around my chair. You have that same feeling after winning a game of football in real life…it’s the best, best feeling ever”. The Belgian soccer manager honestly appeared like a guardian angel for the French soccer club.
Last season, the French soccer side was struggling with results on the pitch. After getting rid of their previous manager, Still came in as the manager and eventually secured a mid-table finish.
Reims is fined £22,000 after every game!
Will Still is currently in his second season as the manager of Reims. A few weeks ago, a shocking fact surfaced on the internet that surprised many soccer fans. The Belgian pro made the headlines after drawing 1—1 against Paris Saint-Germain in the league. The fans then got to know that Reims pays £22,000 as a fine after every soccer game. This is mainly because Still is just 30 years old and does hold a professional coaching license.

He is currently still studying for his UEFA Pro License. Technically, he is still not allowed to manage a soccer club in the topmost tier of French soccer. However, Reims is ready to bear the cost at the expense of Will Still’s exquisite and new managerial skills he brings to the club. Reims are currently 10 and are looking like strong contenders to secure a finish in the Top 8 at least by the end of this season.
