Cristiano Ronaldo can never be taken out of his club’s memory at any point in time. Even though the Portuguese star played for many great teams, his heart will be etched in his first, Sporting Club de Portugal. It has always backed the star, even though he left them back in 2003. However, the club has gone a step further and now honors him with a special jersey dedicated to him.

Ronaldo’s talent was identified by Sporting when he was young. After that, the rest was history, and the star became an international icon. On such an occasion, Ronaldo was presented with a tribute a few minutes ago.

The Al Nassr star has been in terrific form, even for his country. After qualifying for 2024 Euros, the Portuguese skipper was presented with Sporting CP’s third kit before the final match against Iceland today. The kit was announced earlier this year as a tribute to the 20th anniversary of Ronaldo’s debut for the club and also his match against Manchester United in 2003. The jersey is an elegant-looking t-shirt with black and gold in it.

The special part about the jersey is that it has CR7 written on it along with Sporting CP’s logo on the left. Even though the kit was launched a couple of months ago, the club took the opportunity to present it to the public today. President Frederico Varandas did the honors, and Ronaldo received them with joy. The jersey also bore the number 28, which was his first jersey number when he debuted for the senior team. The jersey was also released for the team as a third kit for the season.

Meanwhile, the launch date coincided with the 20th anniversary of Ronaldo’s famous match against Manchester United at the Estadio Jose Alvalade. This is the same game that broke Sir Alex Ferguson’s heart. The record-breaking manager then signed the star in the subsequent season. Ronaldo is currently on international duty for Portugal.
