Gareth Bale will lead the Welsh national team in the upcoming World Cup. Wales has participated in just one World Cup in their history, reaching the quarter-finals in 1958. However, they failed to qualify for any of the soccer world cups for 64 years until the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Wales’ golden generation players have a heavy responsibility on their shoulders and are expected to better their 1958 performance.
Gareth Bale emerged as a hero in the United States with a 128th-minute goal for Los Angeles FC, helping them win the MLS Cup. However, Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds wants him to turn villain against the USMNT next week.
